Volunteering
Canadian Hearts and Hands is a great way to get both physically and spiritually involved in changing people's lives and bringing the presence of Christ into an entire community's heart. A lot of time is spent with the people in the community, and those who volunteer develop a special bond which is formed in spirit. As part of our special mandate of service without borders, we not only serve in foreign asignments but in our local communities as well. Deeply close to our hearts is our work with St. Vincent's Kitchen in Oshawa. St. Vincent's work in ministering to the needs of the community is very much in keeping with the purpose of Canadian Hearts and Hands. We are proud and honoured to work with St. Vincent in their ministry. Every first Sunday of the month, volunteers from across the GTA serve meals at the kitchen. In conjunction to our work in Oshawa, we are also currently working with the Good Shepherd Mission in downtown Toronto. Our volunteers help with making and packing of meals at the centre. Monetary Donations
The work of Canadian Hearts and Hands, with its various projects, require the resources with which to fund them. Through the generosity of many, we have been able to realize the projects which are necessary in our missions. Monetary donations help purchase necessities such as building supplies, structural repairs and teaching materials for communities in need. Donations can be mailed to our head office at:

Sponsoring A Child
Sponsoring a child is one of the most rewarding experiences of one's life. Securing an education for one underpriviledged child not only ensures knowledge but a chance at a better life. Many of them are orphaned; some have lived in the street. Sponsoring a child means taking him/her out of the cycle of poverty and giving him/her the tools to help him/herself. Missionary Applications
The missionary spirit is present in us all, but there are those who are called to particpate more deeply in the Church's work. We welcome all who are respond to the work of Gospel in this way and we invite you to consider the gifts and talents you can offer. Canadian Hearts and Hands accepts missionaries throughout the year for various projects. All applicants will be contacted by the Board of Directors and a minimum preperation period of three months is required before leaving.
